Preventing Harassment
MANY STATES NOW REQUIRE HARASSMENT TRAINING. California, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, and other states now have harassment training mandates. Nationally, Harassment and discrimination case law has established that only Employers which are able to show that they have trained everyone (employees and managers), and train "periodically," (not just once) are eligible to claim an "affirmative defense" to either absolve liability, or to reduce damages, especially punitive damages. Don't leave yourself exposed to claims--particularly in this down economy.
